Professional Profile and Experience
With over 30 years of experience in psychotherapy, Chris Olsson specialises in psychodynamic theory, as well as CBT and addictions therapy. After graduating from the University of Stockholm, she worked as a counsellor at the renowned Karolinska University Hospital for almost 15 years, many of which were spent at the Clinic of Addictions and Dependency (also a Research Clinic). Here Chris supervised trainee doctors in addictions and dependency and in Motivational Interviewing (MI, MET).
In the late 1990’s Chris moved on to provide counselling and psychotherapy to a large corporate healthcare company, where work related stress and burnout were very frequent issues.
In 2000 Chris set up her private practice in psychotherapy and counselling in Stockholm, Sweden, and has more recently begun seeing private patients in London.
Chris also deals with corporate healthcare businesses and their employees who have been referred for psychotherapy and counselling, as well as offering support and supervision management for staff issues.
